Rebuilding – Thanks, Judy!

I guess this post has been a long time coming.

Lakeshore Community Church is rebuilding.
I won’t talk about why it needs to be rebuilt.
As part of the rebuilding process, we’re getting over that.

I’ve never been part of the “rebuilding” of a church before.
Through fellowship, community, and love – we ARE moving forward.
One day, some of us may feel as if we are inching forward.
The next day, some of us may feel as if SATAN is pulling us back.
The next day, we take giant leaps forward, and overcome.

We are now a small community of people that longs for a SOLID FOUNDATION that will lead to a thriving church – where we love GOD, love PEOPLE, and preach the GOSPEL.
A thriving church that overcame difficulty.
A thriving church that is stronger because of the difficulty.
A thriving church that brings the lost to a Savior that forgives.

On Thursday nights, our church takes GIANT LEAPS forward.
On Thursday nights, we create that SOLID FOUNDATION.
On Thursday nights, we fellowship.
On Thursday nights, we rehab.
On Thursday nights, we pray.
On Thursday nights, we WORSHIP.
On Thursday nights, we love.
On Thursday nights, we build community.
On Thursday nights, our church takes GIANT LEAPS forward.

This Thursday, our ladies group studied ‘friendship’, and what that really means. One of my sisters in Christ, Judy, brought everyone one of these -

It’s a ‘FRIENDSHIP KIT’.
She listed a Bible Verse for each item – explaining why we would need each one.

It hit me square in the face.
I’m not in this “rebuilding” process alone.

Thank you, Lord, for what you are doing at Lakeshore Community Church.
Please continue to use every one of us to further Your Kingdom.
Together.

HMMMM....well some of us that don't go there are wondering curiously ....WHAT is the distinct meaning of each item? ;) Especially the rubberband and the toothpick? ;)
It sounds like your well on your way to having a wonderful new church! :)

Rubberband - Romans 8:28 - to remind you to be flexible. Things might not always go the way you want, but it will work out.

Toothpick - Matthew 7:1 - to remind you to pick out the good qualities in others.

I love the Thursday nights too! I wish that we could have made it to the last one; sounds like it was great fun and full of encouragement. I look forward to getting to know you more in the future!

That was the only Thursday night meeting I have been to. I wasn't even planning on it. But I look forward to being a "regular".
