Camping 10 - Aunt Kristie needs a fire....
Dear Aunt Kristie,
Uncle Dan told me that when you are CAMPING, you HAVE TO know how to make a FIRE! Uncle Dan also told me that YOU don't know how to do that. So, he taught me how to split wood, and build a fire - just in case he isn't there to do it for you.
I love you and you are my favorite Aunt.
Love, Dominic

Out-takes
Camping 9 - HELP ME, please....
My mommy told me there are NO dogs allowed in the pool area.
But, I think I am a human. SO, I should be able to go in there.
Because I can't stay in the camper,
my family takes me down to the fence and ties me up outside.
It makes me really MAD and SAD that I can't sit right next to my family.
Someone please HELP ME!
Can't they break the rules just this once?
For a cute little human with 4 legs?

I miss Uncle Dan....
Dominic, my nephew (the genius), is two. He truly believes his Uncle Dan is famous. Every time he sees the Nestle Water Bottle guy, he thinks it's his Uncle Dan! He stops his mommy in the store to show her! I think Dominic and Uncle Dan need to spend some time together this weekend!!
Dom's pretty smart, but I wonder if he would understand if I told him 'Uncle Dan would more likely be pictured on the package of beer, soda, chips, or candy - not anything healthy like H2O!'

Camping- TOP TEN
Top 10 things
a very ‘spoiled’ adult may miss
when they make a decision
to go CAMPING
in a travel trailer
for an entire month:
1. A decent wi-fi connection. [I mean honestly, how hard is it to make sure that campers have a good wireless signal? I would be happy to give them a name of a great tech guy if they can’t figure it out]
2. A pillow-top mattress on a king-sized bed. [Dudley is really missing it, as he barely has room to move between the two of us]
3. A Starbucks store. [I should have thought of this before I made a decision to spend an entire month here]
4. A bathtub. [A month of vacation, with no LONG, HOT baths – I’m an idiot]
5. Cell phone service. [I actually don’t miss this at all, I hate phones – just added it to get to 10 faster]
6. Two bathrooms. [Sharing a bathroom with 3 adolescents is quite challenging – especially when sometimes they think: ‘straightening hair’ takes priority over ‘using the toilet’]
7. Cable television. [Although we have tons of movies, I miss LAW and ORDER re-runs]
8. A fenced-in back yard. [Note for next vacation: Kristie, next time you have a month-long vacation, and you are trying to decide what to do, ask yourself this question: ‘Will you need to pick up your dogs waste with a little doggy-bag for an entire month?’ – and then schedule vacation accordingly]
9. A washer and dryer that doesn’t take quarters to work. [Who knew I actually wash 6 loads of laundry every 3 days?]
10. A bedroom door with a lock on it. [Hmm…obviously didn’t think of that before we decided this would be a great idea………]

Camping 7 - Kayaking
What a wonderful day for kayaking!! One of Dan's cool customers invited us up for a day of kayaking and food on the White River today! Although Eyli and I were very nervous at first, we had a great time together as a family! We were also happy to have Bobby and Sarah, and Tyler's friend Joey join us for the day!
For grandmas and grandpa - check this out (Eyli going through the rough spot of the river!!)
