Summer Update - Me & You

Dan and I are very thankful that we are spending the Summer on our new Harley. We missed having the freedom to ride, when we went without a bike the last 2 summers. We are especially happy to be spending tons of special time together WITH Jamo and Matt, the other half of our YOYO gang......but, do you really need to wear leather vests to be part of a gang?

Summer Update - Eyli

Eyliana has spent her Summer expanding her "Im not afraid anymore" attitude! She successfully went to Michigan Adventure and tackled her greatest fear - Shivering Timbers Rollercoaster. Of course, the picture she got has somehow been misplaced in her bedroom (for those of you who have seen her bedroom, you understand).

She also dared to become a regular rider on Daddy's Harley, which is a first for Eyli! She loves to spend time with her Daddy, on special Daddy/Daughter days.

Last but not least, she spends plenty of time with any COUSINS that appear anywhere near her. She loves the little ones, and spends plenty of time with the older ones - for summer overnight's and ice cream visits.

Summer Update - Katie

Ok, ok, ok, before you criticize my photography skills- I once again forgot the camera, and felt it necessary to post some type of picture off of my phone to signify the importance of the day. Katie has spent the last 2 weeks at Michigan State University, at the Osteopathic Medicine campus, experiencing many things revolving around the introduction to medicine.

Besides living the experience of dorm life for 2 weeks (of which she was not fond) she also came home with stories of cutting apart cadavers, and many other exciting activities. The above picture is when she received her "diploma" from the program, and also when she did her portion of the presentation at the closing ceremony.

Two things I am secretly happy about - 1) I am so proud of the young lady she has become - as she is very certain that she will explore some career in the medical field. Her desire to help other people makes me feel like we may have done something right?? :) 2) I am kinda happy that she missed us so much, because maybe she will decide to attend a college a little closer to home, at least for the first 2 years?? :)

We have also spent some valuable time getting to know Katie's friend, Alan, who seems to be a very delightful young man - who has a great sense of humor. Hopefully, he'll stick around for a while, I kinda like him.

Summer Update - Tyler

Tyler has spent his summer conditioning for his first High School Soccer season,
and
driving!!
Driver's Training doesn't seem to be a very big challenge for my "I already know how to drive" boy. As a parent, I would say this is a much different experience than when we went through this with a girl.
So, Tyler spends his SUMMER days running, playing soccer, driving, or asking everyone if he can drive. :)

My toast.....

Recently, I was in my favorite city

for a surprise

The surprise consisted of a weekend of this

And this…..

And this......

And this.....

When all 4 of us took turns making a TOAST

Dan did his – it was awesome.

Jamie did hers – it was awesome.

Matt did his - it was awesome.

I did mine last – I said “Im just really happy.”

Common, really?

Im a person filled with words – and all I could say was “Im just really happy” ??!!

Seriously?

After some thought…

My toast –
Of all the days I spent brushing your hair.
Of all the days I spent telling you to be quiet when you were whispering.
Of all the days I spent praying that you would just fall asleep.
Of all the days I spent listening to your happy chatter.
Of all the days I spent wishing you would stop wanting to touch me.
Of all the days I spent cleaning up the mess you made (I mean the fun you had).
Of all the days I spent wondering which guy was the right one.
Of all the days I spent looking at you and how beautiful you are.
Of all the days I spent thanking God that you had found the exact right one.
Today, I am the most happy for you.
Here’s to your beautiful SELF, and your beautiful SOULMATE.

May your love grow to be what mine continues to be.

I love you. Love, your big sis.

Happy Birthday, Tony!!
